During my studies I had the opportunity to work as a teaching assistant for undergraduate students which sparked my interest in tutoring. I am a hard working individual with good communication skills and I am motivated to help educate students. As a tutor my key responsibility is to help students understand their course work. I believe that students need to engage with their course work more often and learn to manage their time appropriately. This technique has not only reduced the boredom of lengthy notes that deter students from biology but made my past students to imbibe the basic facts and concepts of the curriculum, rather than memorizing with- Rote learning techniques.

I have 6 years of experience in teaching biology, chemistry, and math for IGCSE, A Level, and IB exams. I graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Master's Degree in Biochemistry. I am an upcoming graduate student in Hong Kong. I am set to graduate with First Class Honours in BSc Biochemistry and Cell Biology from HKUST (The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology). For further education, I am currently deciding between two offers: an MSc by Research at the University of Oxford, UK, and a direct-entry PhD at HKU (The University of Hong Kong).
