Hello, I'm Rasna! I have been tutoring for 7 years now, and it has truly been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I have helped so many students achieve their academic goals year after year, and I know that you are more than capable of doing the same with the right help. I graduated from the International Baccalaureate Program and have experience tutoring students going through the IB as well.

In my twenty-five years of experience teaching, I have taught Business Studies, Economics, Banking, Management, Customer Service, and, for the most part, Marketing to 17-year-olds and individuals in the workforce. I also conduct customized courses aimed at promoting lifelong learning and professional development in commercial institutions. Dealing with learners of different ages and varying degrees of knowledge in these subjects, I am aware of the need to tailor the learning experience to ensure meaningful and long-lasting learning. Additionally, I am deeply involved in several marketing initiatives for an educational institution, including the publication of a prospectus and the development of online platforms such as the website, social media, and an app. I also have previous experience working in the banking industry, mainly focusing on the sanctioning and monitoring of personal and business lending.

English is my native language (IELTS 8.5/9.0) and I am also fluent in Cantonese. I studied in Australia for a few years during my childhood, and attended international schools in HK for 10 years.

Based in Manchester, primarily working with adult learners, scaffolding and teaching material in incremental steps have allowed learners, over time, to enhance their learning and go from early days on their respective courses to confident individuals in their subject field. The teaching techniques involved include a regular reiteration of crucial content, usage of past papers and exam board material, checking of student understanding as well as a learner-based approach to ensure sessions allow learners to progress.
