Hello, my name is Yulia, and I am originally from Russia. I studied in China, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language and Literature and also studied English as a second language. Recently, I completed another bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management at Hochschule München, where English was widely used during my studies. I have several years of international teaching experience. I worked as an English teacher in China for five years, and I have also taught in Russia and Germany. Hi everyone, I'm Duncan. I was born in Macau and grew up in San Francisco. I have lived in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York. Before coming to Taiwan, I worked at Apple Computers as a Mac Genius and corporate trainer. I love sports, especially playing basketball, baseball, and American football. I can speak English, Cantonese, Mandarin, and a little Spanish. I learned Mandarin when I first arrived in Taipei. I have travelled to 42 countries and enjoy exploring nature. Currently, I live in Erlin with my wife and kids. Speaking English is important, but speaking with confidence is key. There are many topics we need to cover, and I believe each one is crucial in our course. I plan to lead everyone in exploring practical topics such as airport travel, transportation, asking for directions, food culture, restaurant phrases, ordering tips, business meetings, and social gatherings, among others.

I am a Licensed Professional Teacher, currently pursuing a Master’s degree in English Language and Literature in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, and am deeply passionate about education and lifelong learning. I am an English teacher with about 10 years of experience teaching children and adults. Although I have mainly taught English, I am also comfortable tutoring subjects such as history, consumer studies, ancient Greek, Latin, Classics (including ancient Greek and Latin art, architecture, drama, literature, and philosophy), as well as African archaeology and anthropology. I graduated summa cum laude in classics and anthropology from The University of KwaZulu Natal, having completed ancient Greek and Latin as well. I received numerous awards and membership to the Golden Key International Honours Society. Additionally, I completed my honours in classics and am currently pursuing a masters in ancient and modern languages and cultures at the University of Pretoria. In high school, I excelled at English, History, Consumer studies, and mathematical literacy, and often tutored these subjects, so I can confidently tutor all the subjects listed above.
