My main strengths are accent correction for local students who may struggle with the pronunciation of certain sounds, and I am also able to help with literary analysis of novels, poems, and other types of literature. My philosophy: With the increase in popularity of AI, I found that many local students were using AI generated responses in their work. This doesn't help their grade, and an over reliance on such a utility could prove to be problematic. I aim to teach English in a way that is approachable so pupils don't have to resort to using AIs. I also find that with many families moving to the UK for new prospects, or with many students who wish to study abroad, one limiting factor to this was English proficiency. I hope to help those who are seeking to leave Hong Kong by providing a good foundation for conversational English and academic English. I graduated from Oxford with a top First in my year in History and Modern Languages. I taught literature, language, and translation for several years while completing a Doctorate. Afterwards, I worked full-time at Oxford as a Lecturer and organized admissions for Modern Languages for 6 years. I also worked for a well-known Hong Kong tutoring center in 2015, and have taught English and History to many students in Hong Kong and the UK (IB, IGCSE, GCE A-level, and AP).
