Exam Preparation - I specialize in HKDSE English (all 4 papers), IELTS (all 4 skills), 11+ Entrance, GCSE English, IB English, and SAT English. Each student receives a personalized study roadmap and mock paper practice tracked against their target grade or band score. Arts Enrichment & Wellbeing - I offer play-based learning for K1–P2 students, art for wellbeing sessions for all ages, and online creative writing workshops for small groups of middle school students. SEN-Informed Learning Support - I provide individualized learning support for neurodivergent students including those with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and anxiety. My approach is behavior-informed (RBT background) and rooted in building trust and routine. I also hold a First Aid certificate.

I have worked in several global 500 companies before, in job positions such as IT manager, IT administrator, and an ISO company representative. I am a British teacher of English language and literature, and I have been working in Hong Kong since 2001. Before that, I taught English in Japan for over 10 years. From 2001 until 2023, I was a senior tutor at AMG Ltd. in Language and Literature for students aged 8-18. At AMG, I taught UKISET, IDAT, ISEB 11+ and 13+, SSAT, (I)GCSE, HKDSE, IB, SAT, NAPLAN, IELTS, LSAT, and many other Australian and Canadian curricula. I successfully prepared students to enter top British private schools, including scholarships for Benenden, Eton, Harrow, Winchester, and Wycombe Abbey, as well as schools and universities in the UK, US, Canada, and Australia. In my first lessons, I learn what the student enjoys reading and their level of comprehension so I can supply interesting, relevant lessons in which they will learn more vocabulary and how to analyze a text. I also help students develop their creative writing through structured prompts and clear models. For older students, I focus on essay techniques and literary analysis, including how to analyze language and structure in texts. For those students preparing for IELTS, we cover all areas of the examination by looking at past papers and best practices. I also offer interview practice for Hong Kong international schools and schools in the UK and elsewhere.
