I have been a writing center tutor for two years, I have tutored Latin for four years, and I have been the Teacher's Assistant in a college level Ancient Greek class. My philosophy on teaching depends entirely on the learning of the student. One of the great things about tutoring is that the student gets a lot of direct attention, and this attention should be individualized and geared towards the success of the student in order to maximize the efficiency of the tutoring. I also believe that a tutor and student can be more of a team, working together towards the success and education of the student, rather than a strict and formal relationship. Read less
