Questions for You

Q: What age range of students do you usually work with?

As an experienced educator, I've had the privilege of teaching students across a wide range of age groups and educational levels. From the youngest learners in Kindergarten 1 and 2, to primary students in grades 1 and 2, and senior students in international schools across the Bangkok region. In addition to my work with younger learners, I also have extensive experience teaching adults. Whether it's providing instruction in professional development courses, or specialized workshops online and offline both.

Q: How do you approach lesson planning and preparation?

1. Assess Student Needs: Begin by assessing the needs, interests, and skill levels of your students. Consider their learning styles, prior knowledge, and any specific goals or objectives they may have for the lesson or unit. 2. Set Clear Objectives: Establish clear learning objectives for each lesson, outlining what students should know, understand, and be able to do by the end of the session. Align these objectives with curriculum standards, learning outcomes, and student interests 3. . Hands-On Exploration: Design hands-on, experiential learning experiences that encourage students to explore, experiment, and create in a supportive and open-ended environment. Provide access to a variety of art materials, tools, and resources that allow students to express their creativity and individuality while experimenting with different mediums, textures, and techniques.

Q: How do you measure progress and assess learning outcomes for your students?

Portfolio Reviews: Review student portfolios regularly to assess growth, development, and mastery of skills over time. Portfolios may include artwork, design projects, written reflections, and self-assessments, allowing students to track their progress and showcase their achievements.

Q: Do you provide regular homework and assignments, and how do you review and provide feedback on student work?

Variety of Assignments: I assign a variety of homework and assignments, including practice exercises, creative projects, real time projects for adults. I review and provide feedback on student work promptly, I offer constructive feedback that is specific, actionable, and supportive, highlighting strengths, identifying areas for growth, and offering suggestions for improvement.

Q: What technology or resources do you use to enhance your lessons, particularly for online sessions?

1. Digital Art Software: Utilize digital art software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva to teach digital painting, graphic design, and illustration techniques 2. Screen Sharing/Live sessions: Google meet, Zoom 3. Video Tutorials and Demonstrations: I create and share pre-recorded video tutorials and demonstrations covering specific art techniques, processes, and concepts. Video tutorials allow students to learn at their own pace, pause, rewind, and replay as needed, and provide additional support and reinforcement of learning objectives.

Q: Do you provide any additional support outside of scheduled lesson times, such as answering questions via email or phone?

I am available via email to answer questions, provide clarification on lesson materials, offer feedback on assignments, or address any concerns that students may have.
