I usually discuss with students what they hope to achieve before they start lessons. Some common goals are a career switch, automating work, or data analysis. After knowing their goal, I will suggest the pathway they should take, for example, starting with an introduction to Python followed by more advanced topics. Lessons are usually split into theory and practice. New concepts are introduced in theory lessons, and students will then be encouraged to do practices which we will go through in practical lessons.
