Hi, I’m Jack Mills. I tutor economics online to students around the world. Whether you’re in Panama or Peru, St. Lucia or San Antonio, Taipei or Toronto, I am at your service, day or night. Based in the high-intensity Hong Kong education market, but with a global reach, I’ve had to master economics teaching in every major global curriculum - AP Micro, AP Macro, A Levels, IGCSE, and IB. My mission? To promote basic economic literacy globally and to prepare my students for outstanding success in university. My students have made it into some of the best universities in the world (HKU, Tsinghua, Stanford, etc.) and are all going on to change the world.

In my sessions, I emphasize the role of incentives, interactive skills training, creative iteration, goal-directed organization, and rational optimism in a relentless pursuit of productivity and excellence in all projects. Through a focus on mastery of foundational concepts first, and through clear identification of knowledge gaps followed up with essential drilling, students who struggle initially are able to attain full marks on their exams. I try to foster critical thinking, independent study, and preparation for university and working life by offering abundant free resources, expert advice, and a professional but fun work atmosphere in every online lesson.

I have a BA in Economics from the University of Calgary, and I hold a designation as a Certified Global Sanctions Specialist through ACAMS. I briefly attended the Harvard University Extension School and was awarded a full scholarship to the Taipei School of Economics.
