Hi there! My name is Niki and I'm from a small town called Pietermaritzburg found in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. I am a qualified high school educator with Geography and English being my main focus areas. I am a simple, "out-of-the-box" teacher, which helps me relate to learners and content in a positive manner. My teaching approaches help target diversity, learning barriers, and challenges that can arise in the learning environment.

I also have a unique interest in astronomy and a hidden talent as a self-taught keyboard player. I hope that I can be a match to help you on the journey of education! I have 8 years of experience as a lead teacher in a high school, learning to deal with students from all types of backgrounds and abilities. I have obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Education specializing in the FET (Further Education and Training) Phase, and I also have my TEFL certification.

Although I have spent many years focused on the subject of Geography, I also have a deep passion for the English Language. My teaching methodology is more focused on helping students make content relevant to their daily lives by using practical examples and news. This method has shown me that learners are more enthusiastic when the content being taught in the classroom is integrated with their lives outside the classroom.
