i am a first going on second year student at Wits who is looking to tutor English across primary school and high school level. I am located in Johannesburg, specifically the north. I am extremley passionate about visual literacy and poetry which i feel makes me stand out as a tutor as many tutors focus primarily on comprehension. I care heavily about ensuring that my students learn the principles of understanding the English language as an academic subject, thus creating a student that can answer question thrown at them with confidence that they have built themselves with my help. I prefer working on helping students develop their own methods to understanding the structer of questions and how to answer them. This method will allow my students to be able to independently answer questions with full confidence, rather than struggle to memorise steps that they themselves struggle to engage with and understand.
