Questions for You

Q: What types of exams do you specialize in preparing students for?

I'm pretty flexible and can help with whatever's on the horizon, whether it's standard school tests or proficiency exams like the IELTS or TOEFL. I also have plenty of experience guiding students through the SATs to make sure they're feeling totally ready on test day.

Q: Do you offer diagnostic assessments to identify areas of weakness for each student?

Yeah, I usually kick things off with a quick diagnostic to see exactly where a student is struggling and what they’ve already nailed. It helps me build a game plan that hits the right spots instead of wasting time on stuff they already know.

Q: Do you provide study materials or recommend additional resources for students?

I'd point students toward BBC Learning English for a solid, structured foundation. For natural immersion, I'm a big fan of using channels like Veritasium, MKBHD, or Wendover Productions because they offer super clear narration on topics that actually keep people hooked. It’s a way more chill way to pick up advanced vocab without it feeling like a boring lecture.

Q: Do you offer mock exams or practice tests to simulate exam conditions?

Yes, I provide mock tests at multiple steps along the way to the big exam with a focus on key areas of improvement while also solidifying the strengths of the students - this way, the students have a holistic preparation and also get familiarized with real test conditions.

Q: Do you provide online coaching sessions or only in-person sessions?

I'm open to both forms of lessons - as long as my schedule can accommodate it.

Q: Do you provide guidance on time management and study strategies?

I definitely help with that by setting up a solid study schedule and breaking down those big goals into smaller, manageable chunks. We can also dive into cool tricks like the Pomodoro technique or active recall to make sure you're actually soaking up the info without burning out.

Q: Can you provide guidance on managing stress during the exam period?

From my extensive experience with all sorts of tests, I've realised that overpreparing for an exam is very possible - you stress over covering the syllabus so much that you fry your brain and lose your calm in the exam itself. To avoid this, I have some tips and advice to help students stay calm and focused during this crunch time.
