I have spent all my professional life working with the English language. Back home in London, I wrote for blue-chip businesses and NGOs, and was a journalist for national newspapers and magazines. Later, I taught on the London campuses of American universities and as a guest lecturer at British universities. Now based in Bangkok, I enjoy helping secondary students improve their writing in English and prepare for IELTS and similar tests. It is also great to collaborate with undergraduates and graduates as they compose essays and theses. Recently, I even helped a Thai university teacher write a whole book in English! My reward has been the students’ success and their positive feedback. It is very rewarding to be praised for my “active” and “attentive” style, and just amazing to be told I am “an excellent teacher”. Read less
