Hi! I’m a final year medical student at Duke-NUS with a strong academic background in Biomedical Engineering and a passion for helping students excel in Maths, Biology, Chemistry, and Medicine/nursing knowledge. I graduated from NTU with a degree in Biomedical Engineering on the Dean’s List and was awarded the Lee Kuan Yew Gold Medal as the top student in my cohort. I have consistently performed well in major standardized exams (MCAT 518 — ~96th percentile) and received multiple merit scholarships and honors during medical school.
My journey has taught me that academic success is not about memorizing more — it is about studying smarter. Many students struggle not due to lack of ability, but because they have not yet been shown efficient frameworks for understanding and applying concepts under exam conditions. This is where I focus my teaching.
In my lessons, I prioritize clear conceptual understanding first, then layer on strategic exam techniques that help students translate knowledge into marks. I break down complex Maths, Biology, and Chemistry topics into structured, digestible steps, paying close attention to each student’s specific weak areas. Lessons are highly personalized — whether a student needs help building foundations, closing knowledge gaps, or pushing from a B to an A.
Students and parents often tell me that what sets my teaching apart is the emphasis on high-yield learning. I share proven methods for:
• Rapid concept mastery
• Pattern recognition in exam questions
• Time management during papers
• Answer structuring for maximum marks
• Avoiding common examiner traps
Because of my medical training and research background, I also help students see the bigger picture behind what they are learning. This makes lessons more engaging and helps knowledge stick long-term, rather than being forgotten after exams.
I work well with motivated students who want to improve efficiently, as well as those who feel stuck and need clearer guidance. My teaching style is patient, structured, and encouraging — I believe confidence is just as important as content mastery.
Subjects offered:
• Secondary/O-Level Biology & Chemistry
• A-Level Biology & Chemistry
• Introductory biomedical or pre-med guidance
• Study strategy and exam skills coaching
Lesson format:
• Online 1-to-1 (Zoom/Teams)
• Small group lessons available
• Flexible weekday evenings & weekends
My goal is simple: to help you achieve measurable grade improvements while building strong, transferable study skills that will serve you well beyond a single exam.
