Questions for You

Q: What age range of students do you usually work with?

Typically students in or shortly before thier university studies, but am open to all.

Q: How do you approach lesson planning and preparation?

Tutoring has a different approach from teaching generally. I dont have a single plan locked in, but develop one upon meeting the student and understanding what they need.

Q: How do you measure progress and assess learning outcomes for your students?

Primarily by having the student walk me through problems step by step while I ask questions for them to explain the underlying "whys".

Q: Do you provide regular homework and assignments, and how do you review and provide feedback on student work?

I can provide practice for home if needed, feedback is with me conversational, with a few take home notes.

Q: What technology or resources do you use to enhance your lessons, particularly for online sessions?

Just a digital whiteboard.

Q: Do you provide any additional support outside of scheduled lesson times, such as answering questions via email or phone?

Email is possible but my time is limited outside the schedule.

Q: Do you have any specific strategies for motivating students who may be struggling or disengaged with the subject material?

Find something that they can understand and build upon. Start with a small step and work outwards from there. No one likes facing too large of problems or too many unknows, we don't handle it well, but breaking things down into achieveable pieces is key.

Q: Do you have experience working with students with learning differences or special needs?

I have worked with students with ADHD and on the spectrum, but not otherwise.
