Hi there, I'm Miss Josie! I'm a passionate and engaging teacher with over 10 years of experience teaching students of all ages, from 9 months to adults. I grew up in Oxford and received theatre training from a young age. I have a very clear and articulate accent, which helps my students build confidence in listening and develop excellent pronunciation skills. I am a qualified ESL teacher and have taught English and Drama in International Schools. I am a 25-year-old Australian law student who has come to live in Berlin for a year. I would like to help anyone who wants to learn English (at any level) achieve their goals. I have been learning languages (French and German) since I was 12, so I know what it is like to learn a new language and the effort that is required. I have also learned in this time that everyone learns differently, and so I will take a flexible approach to tutor English so that you, the student, can get the most out of your time. As a law student, I have a lot of exposure to "proper" English, as I have to read around 300 pages of very high-level English every week and analyze the meaning behind the text. I am also expected to write all of my essays in this style. I am happy to teach English that is more directed towards study or work, but I am just as happy to teach everyday conversational English as well so that you can sound more like a native speaker (I can even throw in some Aussie slang if you'd like!). Hello! I'm from the United States and have been travelling and living in Southeast Asia for over three years! I have been teaching for 5+ years with students of different ages and abilities.
