I am an experienced international school educator and leader. I have taught Maths to IB and A-Level with outstanding results. Teaching in Japan, London, China, and Thailand sets me apart as I have a comprehensive understanding of various curricula. As an Apple Distinguished Educator, I have expertise in educational technologies and integrate these skills into my teaching.

What benefits do you get from my teaching classes? 1) I am not very strict when it comes to extra time. We can extend a bit, and an additional 10 minutes is no problem. I always believe that longer sessions with small pauses are better for you to grasp the topic. 2) I can teach in groups as well as individually, whichever option suits you best. If you need to catch up with what is going on in school during a break and don't want to fall behind, we can have back-to-back classes in a short amount of time, if that works for you. Teaching has been a long-time passion of mine. I have already taught some candidates (see testimonials below), and during my college days, I held classes with several groups of students. After moving to University, I also delivered sessions for my classmates from different parts of the world. Additionally, I was in charge of a specific experiment for Bachelor's and Master's students for a year.

I am a chemistry major at Ryerson going into my fourth year. I have 4 years of experience teaching chemistry and math to students of all ages up to grade 12. I am located near Victoria Park and Lawrence, but I am also downtown a good portion of the time so I am able to commute to most locations near a subway station. I also try to establish a connection with my students to try and make the tutor to student relationship come off as more of a peer to peer relationship. I am a Mathematics MSc student at Stellenbosch University. I have a major in Biochemistry at an undergraduate level. I strive to teach for understanding and to constantly build on foundations, as this is the way to ensure academic growth. I also focus on learning strategies because in this fast-paced world we live in, it is necessary to grasp and learn concepts quickly and to have strategies to do so.

My passion in life is knowledge and the sharing of it. The main subject that I tutor is Mathematics as I have found it to be one of the most difficult subjects to grasp, despite being a subject of logic and true beauty once one is able to understand it. I am based in Johannesburg, Gauteng and have spent five years helping multiple students to not only pass maths, but to do better than they ever thought they could. I approach each new student with extreme flexibilty as each one learns at a different rate, using different methods. I also believe a student knows the best means by which they will be able to learn and I take these personal considerations very seriously. My preferred teaching style is to follow the pace of the curriculum, unless the student wishes to learn concepts in advance for the benefit of having the knowledge ready before it is leant in class. I also occasionally give additional homework and spot tests (if needed) and will create my own mock-exams for additional maths practise. Mathematics is a truly beauiful subject and it has great meaning to me. With a Masters in Biomedical Engineering, I am experienced in topics regarding Mathematics and Physics. My degree also allows me to appreciate the practicality of these subjects. I attended an international school and obtained outstanding results in the IGCSE and IB exams (A*s and 7s in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry). I have a good understanding of the IGCSE and IB syllabus along with the way they are taught. I believe that good foundation in fundamentals is vital for future excellence. Therefore, I like to start lessons off with a few diagonostics to test relevant concepts essential to excel at the subject. In addition, I provide my phone number for my tutees to contact at all times for any help that they require in the subjects that I teach.
