I have over 20 years of teaching and tutoring experience. I have taught students in the Primary and Secondary education sector, and young people and adults studying in the Further and Higher Education Sector. I have a PhD from the University of East Anglia and an MA and BA from Birkbeck, University of London. I also have a certificate in Art and Design. I am a published academic author and I have presented papers at conferences across the UK. I can teach a range of subjects including English Language and English Literature, History of Art, Film and Media Studies, History and Politics.

I have particular expertise in teaching students that have been excluded from mainstream education, including young people in foster care and residential care homes, and people with special educational needs and behavioural problems.

My teaching style is very relaxed, and I ensure that I give students plenty of time and opportunity to ask questions and develop a teaching method that suits their personal learning style.
