My dedication to raising the profile and attainment of Physics, not only in my own lessons but in the wider department, resulted in my official promotion to Head of Physics. In this capacity, I continued to drive progress throughout the department through the sharing of best practices with non-specialist teachers and the department as a whole. In addition to improving academic progress each year, I developed the school’s STEM opportunities through extracurricular Crest awards and organized a residential trip to CERN in Geneva, where students had the opportunity to see one of the particle accelerators up close.
