I am a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese and have been studying Mandarin through my schooling system in Malaysia for over 12 years now. I have been teaching Mandarin for more than three decades. In terms of my academic background, I am currently a Physics major at the National University of Singapore, with my studies fully funded through the ASEAN scholarship. I scored 11A+ in my high school graduation exam and received a Jeffrey Cheah scholarship to study A-Levels, where I achieved 4A*s in the exams. Moreover, I have actively participated in numerous Creative Writing competitions and Math, Science & IT Olympiads at both national and international levels. Some of the awards I have received include the first prize at the International Youth Creative Writing Competition and the bronze award at the National Kangaroo Mathematics Competition in 2018. During my time in college, I was also actively involved as a member of the volunteering club and served as a peer tutor.

I am a native Chinese speaker, fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, with a deep understanding of both the language and culture. I have extensive experience teaching foreigners Chinese and Cantonese in Hong Kong, helping students of all levels improve their language skills. My lessons are tailored to meet the individual needs of each student, fostering a comfortable and effective learning environment.

Hi there! I'm a Higher Chinese Language (HCL) O'Level graduate, and I've been diving deep into HCL for the past 8 years! I'm excited to share that I achieved an A1 in my Express Chinese O'Level Examination. Growing up in a Mandarin-speaking family has really shaped my love for the language. I've also taken part in a few translation competitions, which have helped me guide and support my students better. I'm very enthusiastic and positive, and I can't wait to help more students in Singapore who need a little extra help with Chinese! I do not mind travelling to the student's house to tutor, hence I am quite flexible. Let's explore this language together!

I have been offering private tution since 2014. For my lessons, I will usually check with the parents or students regarding the area of weakness and guide students accordingly. As every student has different learning pace, I will conduct lesson accordingly to ensure that students are learning effectively and coping well. Most of my students have showed improvements and I have also received postive feedbacks from parents. As my students treated me as their friends, most of them feel comfortable approaching me whenever they are in doubt, even after lesson. I am open to consultation or checking of work after lesson, should students require. I usually teach and travel within the East area.
