I am a native English teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience. Based in Lege Cap Ferret I travel to and from Bordeaux and its surrounding areas daily to offer my teaching services. Born and raised in Illinois, Tariq Shah writes fiction and poetry. He holds a BA in English from DePaul University in Chicago, and an MFA in Creative Writing from St. Joseph's College, where he now teaches undergraduate English. From 2007-2009 he served in the US Peace Corps, during which time he taught 8th and 9th grade English in Moatize, Mozambique, and speaks Portuguese proficiently. An active percussionist for over 15 years, he performs regularly, and has extensive music performance, composition and education experience.
