Hello! My name is Dione, but most people who know me call me Dee. I am currently located in Southern Thailand, in Phuket. I have been working in the field of education for 10 years, and I like to think that I have an energetic teaching style. During this time, I have worked with students and learners of various ages, utilizing a wide range of modern teaching methods. I am a TEFL teacher and an English writing skills tutor, so I am also happy to help those studying any humanities subjects with their assignments. I believe in flexible teaching, which means that the atmosphere for learning is relatively relaxed. This doesn’t mean that I want you sleeping in class, but I do want you to feel comfortable asking questions and speaking freely within the level of English you understand. For the last three years, I have focused more on teaching English as a Foreign Language. I believe in making lessons enjoyable, and I almost always require some form of spoken English at any level. I encourage you to communicate with me in whatever way you can. To do this effectively, you’ll need to tell me what you are comfortable saying, and together we can build from there. There will be references to e-books, which will be accessible through Google Classroom, and assignments will be given from these resources for additional support, both in free and paid lessons. As a traveling teacher, I will inform students and learners at least one month in advance of any planned movements, to ease any transitions or breaks in studying. In-person lessons are possible, but I would recommend sticking to online lessons for consistency, as I may need to travel to cities that are near or far from you.
