My name is Ivan, and I am pleased to meet you. I have vast experience in education and previously worked in Language and State Schools in London before working at an International School in Thailand for 4 years. Since then, I have developed my career and currently work as a language consultant for a group of 4 IT companies in the center of Bangkok. In this role, I am responsible for improving the level of English for 100 adult staff. I plan and deliver the classes myself as part of the staff's working week, as high-level professional development for them. I am a TESOL qualified teacher of English from New Zealand. I have been teaching English since 2018 and I hold a graduate diploma in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) from Waikato Institute of Technology, New Zealand. Originally from Russia, I now reside in New Zealand. I have been living here since 2013. I got married in New Zealand, we’ve got a beautiful little boy who is currently two years old. I love nature a lot, I prefer places untouched by humans, or built and run with environmental sustainability in mind. I believe it is very important to take care of nature and our planet. I love the outdoors. My life is all about expanding my self-awareness and self-development. And I achieve that through travelling, practising mindfulness and living a healthy lifestyle. Amongst my other interests are home organisation, wholefood vegetarian cooking and natural medicine. I am a professional civil engineer for over 10 years and I have need coaching generations of young engineers English for the engineering examinations. I have a CELPIP score of 11 and IELTS score of 9 for speaking. I also speak fluent Cantonese and Mandarin, which may come in handy to explain specific learning attributes during the English tutoring lessons.
