Hello, I believe that each and every student is different, so I will adjust my teaching style accordingly. I generally try to simplify a concept without losing any content. I will break up a challenging topic into smaller, more digestible topics. Research suggests that non-experts are better off looking at solutions, so I will solve questions explaining my thinking process so you can mimic it in exams. Later on, I will assign a very small but targeted amount of questions that will help you solidify your understanding, and you will not waste time doing the same type of questions repeatedly. It doesn't matter if you are a student who earns B or D grades, my goal is to help you achieve an A*.

I used to teach financial management, insurance courses, and personal financial planning at the university. I have a Master's degree in Investment Management, as well as a professional title of Certified Financial Planner. I can certainly help you tackle problems and improve your academic studies. I also have working experience in the insurance industry, specifically in the operations department.

I am a qualified Actuary with about many years of corporate experience. I would like to start sharing my knowledge on actuarial / finance / insurance related topics to anyone interested. Whether if you are taking any IFoA/SoA exams or school works that is any related to above, I am happy to talk to you all my experience in approaching these topics! I am currently based in Hougang/Serangoon but we can sort out the lesson format.

Finance is an important life skill. Unforunately, the current education system often lacks fundamental finance courses. As a qualified actuary working in the insurance industry, I would love to give back my knowledge to youngsters so that they will be fully prepared for handling the financial world, both at a personal level and at a global level.

I am a dedicated Finance, Accounting, and Mathematics tutor based in Johannesburg with over 3 years of tutoring experience at both high school and university level. I hold a BCom in Finance and Investments as well as a BCom Honours in Financial Planning, where I graduated top of my class (2022). Over the years, I have successfully tutored school learners in Accounting and Mathematics (Grades 8–10) and university students from first year through to honours level in subjects including Accounting, Finance, Investments, Insurance, and Financial Planning. I adapt my approach to each learner’s needs, whether that means breaking down technical topics into easy-to-understand steps, providing real-world examples from the finance industry, or offering exam preparation strategies. My goal is not only to help students improve their marks but also to build their confidence and long-term understanding. From my own personal experience, I was a below-average school student who decided to tackle my studies in a unique manner that enhanced my learning and helped me achieve the Top Student status.
