My name is Lea, and I would love to accompany you on your educational journey! I teach German, as well as English, and various business and environmental subjects. Having lived in Germany, South Africa, the UK, Switzerland, and Hong Kong, my diverse background has given me a unique and multicultural perspective. My lessons always aim to be fully inclusive, sensitive to cultural differences, and, in group settings, a platform where students can learn from each other's cultural richness. With a PhD in Environmental Science, Policy, and Management, and an undergraduate degree in Hospitality Management with a financial focus, I have extensively trained my communicative, presentation, and writing skills. My position here gave me the opportunity to discover ways to integrate various skill levels into my lesson plans in order to maximize the educational potential for all group members. I have also helped to prepare candidates for the Deutscholympiade, a speech competition in Hong Kong. Furthermore, working as a teaching assistant at the university has given me valuable insights into presentation techniques, course design, and addressing student concerns. I have also held various teaching jobs during my undergraduate program. As part of an honours society, I tutored groups of students in varying subjects, ranging from Legislation and HR to Statistics. The main subject I teach is the German language, as well as presentation (English & German). I like to make my classes as fun as possible, and I always make sure to include as many real-life situations as possible. My classes are held in English, but depending on my students' language skills, there will be a transition towards the German language.

Hello, my name is Lisa and I am from Vienna, Austria. I have successfully completed 2 master's degrees in Communication Science and Marketing and will soon start my doctorate. Languages are my passion. I was able to improve my language skills primarily through my English language studies in the Netherlands and several stays abroad, along with obtaining various certificates. Additionally, I have studied translation studies with a specific focus on German, English, and French. I enjoy tailoring my lessons to meet the needs and requirements of my students. This can be discussed and evaluated during our initial session. I offer either one- or two-hour sessions, depending on the preference of the student. My name is Felix Konerding, and I am currently studying at City University of Hong Kong. After studying in Germany (in English) for two years, I came to Hong Kong in a double-degree program with the School of Creative Media at CityU. I am a native German speaker, completed the German and French equivalent of A-Levels (Abi-Bac) with a German grade of 1.4 and a French grade of "mention bien, bacchalauréat S," and have experience teaching high-school students languages, as well as medium-level Mathematics. I studied to become a Spanish Teacher for one year, giving me the most insight into didactics in Spanish. Although I am slowly learning Cantonese by myself, I am not confident or proficient enough yet to teach in Chinese; therefore, I offer to teach in English, German, French, or Spanish. In my high school, three exchange programs allowed me to go to France, of which the longest one lasted three months. I went to a high school in Marseille, which raised my French from an academic school level to being fluent in everyday life. English has been the language of my studies already in Germany, but it has become my daily means of communication over the last years, speaking with many international students and professionals – even though I have not lived in a purely English-speaking country for longer than two weeks. Besides my mother tongue, it is currently my most proficient language, including advanced academic writing and reading. I have had the least practical experience with Spanish; however, my grammatical foundation is the strongest, as I have studied it in depth for one year at the university in Münster, Germany. I am looking forward to teaching the languages that I have grown to love and share my passion for learning about different cultures. The lessons I offer will not be limited to the bare necessities of school requirements but speckled with personal experience and realistic language use, as well as a cultural background.
