I have recently completed a PGCE, which has provided myself with the opportunity to teach groups of various ages and backgrounds. By working with students of different ability levels, my teaching toolkit has focused on stretching and challenging high achieving students as well as segmenting tasks into smaller, achievable chunks to those who require more time. In addition to teaching a traditional group, one-to-one sessions with students have allowed me to tailor material to the needs of specific students, which will be echoed in these sessions, utilising techniques deemed most appropriate for each student. With experience in teaching, this has allowed me to develop a variety of methods to improve and enhance learners of all abilities. Based in Manchester, primarily working with adult learners, scaffolding and teaching material in incremental steps have allowed learners, over time, to enhance their learning and go from early days on their respective courses to confident individuals in their subject field. The teaching techniques involved include a regular reiteration of crucial content, usage of past papers and exam board material, checking of student understanding as well as a learner-based approach to ensure sessions allow learners to progress.

Hola! I'm a first year mechanical engineering PhD student at University of Girona. I've tuaght both primary and secondary school students mathematics when I was doing my masters in Singapore. I communicate quite well in English (TOEFL: 100/120). I also teach programming (Python) and Finite Element Analysis (Abaqus).

Hi, my name is Michael, and I am a maths tutor. I studied in the UK since the age of 13, giving me first-hand experience with GCSE and GCE A-level exams, and I hold a Bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Warwick. After graduation, I worked at one of Hong Kong's largest tutoring centres, specializing in teaching various international curricula, including I/GCSE, GCE, IB, AP, SAT, and more. Having worked there for 2.5 years, I have learned a great deal about how to teach these syllabi.
