I want them to focus on real-world problems, and to grapple with their intricacies until they themselves find the solutions. I don't want kids to grow into adults who believe that "somebody smarter than them will take care of the details" (which is how most programming is done these days sadly), I want kids who will grow up to be the people who solve those problems, and I'm confident that I can empower young students with potential to solve the complex problems facing the world today without needing to rigidly follow dogmatic "best-practices."

I have an irrational passion for math, possibly due to the positive reinforcement of answering questions correctly, the joy of seeing patterns that were once hidden, and the purity and elegance of a language which can get us closer to discerning what's true from what isn't, in a world with quite a bit of deception.
