My love for mathematics and teaching students of all ages over the past 6 years has helped me develop traits and habits a good teacher should have, such as patience and encouragement to push the student just a little further because I believe that everyone has a hidden talent for mathematics.

I am a Math teacher with a year and a half of teaching experience and currently working towards a PGDE in Secondary Mathematics at the University of Birmingham. I am cheerful and approachable and I believe in putting the pupil at the centre of their learning and equipping them to be able to tackle problems independently and with confidence. I understand that each pupil is different and thus I like exploring different solutions to a particular problem. I don't think Math is 'impossible' and it's just about figuring out what confuses us and working towards clearing out the confusion. With time, effort and a little instruction from my part, I think a pupil can achieve desirable results and become more confident in Maths.

With the new style of GCSE, I focus on guiding students to make their own discoveries and gain a deeper understanding of Mathematics, rather than attempting to train students to repeat rules and methods without having any true understanding.

Hi, I am currently a marketing professional in Amsterdam, but my passion for building the basics of math for kids really drives me. I believe in creating strong foundational skills so that it helps in creating a structured thought process in mathematics for the future of the student. I provided private tutoring for various students in grades 8 to 11 in English and Afrikaans. I consistently achieved great results and helped students understand how subjects are applicable in our lives and industries to engage their interest. Teaching is my passion, and I have endless patience when explaining subject matter. My methodology involves explaining the subject, providing examples, and allowing students to practice test questions until they can independently achieve a good grade on a test.
