I am a holder of a BSc Honors degree in Mathematical Statistics, which I completed with 5 distinctions and an average of 75%. During my time in university, I entered the world of tutoring and served as an Economics tutor. In 2021, I formally registered my own company. Since April 2022, I have been working on the business full-time.

I am a licensed professional teacher in my country. I have been teaching for almost five years now. My experience has helped me develop my skills as a teacher. I am a flexible teacher who loves to teach students. I am a graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education majoring in Math. Currently, I am teaching Math for grades 7-12.

Mathematics can be a challenging subject for many students. I believe that every child has unique learning needs and for this reason I focus on taking students back to a level with which they are comfortable and then filling in the gaps from there. This leads to improvement and success and with success comes renewed confidence in the ability to tackle more difficult mathematical concepts and problems. Using visual, animated, practical and interactive technology-based tools, I show students how Mathematics applies to them in their world. By asking students probing questions, rather than simply showing them how to answer the question, I help students develop their own problem-solving skills. This leads to independence and greater confidence in their abilities. With increased confidence comes improvement and success. I have been teaching high school Mathematics for many years and have provided tutoring services to my students as part of my support for their learning. I have taught all levels of Mathematics, from years 7 to 13, and have deep experience with university pathway Mathematics. I provide purely online services. As a result, I am available at any time that students find helpful and physical location is not significant. It is important to understand that you can learn a lot of maths in a very short period of time. It doesn’t matter where you start, you can get to where you want or need to be. I’m confident that I can help you achieve your goals.

I love mathematics and believe every student has the ability to understand and do well in the subject. In my experience, it is generally a small misunderstanding or gap prior knowledge that prevents students from doing well. All that is required, is to find the explanation that makes sense to the individual student. I have had students fail a grade one year and the next year achieve an 80% average in the subject when moved to my class. I am situated in Cape Town (South Africa). A student once wrote in an essay to a colleague that unlike other math teachers, I never give up or tell someone they cannot do something. I will always keep finding a new way of explaining math until it makes sense. My method requires students to make the mistakes in the contact sessions so that we can remedy the problem areas in order to not be repeated in tests or exams.

I am Thomas Magaya based in Witbank, Mpumalanga. I have a wealth of experience(20years) teaching Mathematics and quite familiar and comfortable with CAPS from grade 6 level to grade 11. As such I am able to diagnose learning difficulties and analyse gaps and give appropriate remedial and corrective action and boost the confidence of the learners in the subject. I also offer assistance in Natural Sciences and Physical Sciences up to grade 10. I take consideration of individual differences and give tasks appropriate to one's developmental stage thus allowing individuals to proceed at their own pace. I am flexible and allow for exploration of alternative approaches if a wall is hit and progress looks minimal. Most importantly, I encourage learners to set their own goals.

I teach all topics of mathematics, especially calculus, trigonometry, coordinate geometry, and algebra. Currently, I am a master's student at ESSEC living in Cergy (95800) and am willing to give online tutoring sessions. Hi there! My name is Saffron and I am a recent graduate from the University of Nottingham with a degree in Mathematics, where I received a 2:1. At A-Level I achieved an A* in Mathematics and A in Further Maths, I also received an A* in Mathematics at GCSE level. During the sixth form, I have gained extensive tutoring experience. I spent my free hours as a teacher’s assistant to a GCSE maths class, where I help to aid the students with anything they were struggling with. I gained a great deal of satisfaction from helping them improve their grades and truly enjoyed the journey as a whole. I also used to run an after-school physics club for Year 5 pupils. This shows my ability to work effectively with students of all ages. During my Year 11 summer, I undertook a volunteering project in Nicaragua where I taught basic Maths and English to underprivileged primary school pupils. I feel that these experiences greatly improved my ability to communicate and explain concepts in a more concise manner. Doing this not only gets the student very familiar and experienced with what to expect in the exam but also flags up areas of weakness. These areas are then worked on specifically until full competence is shown. This means a typical lesson is made up of half general past paper, and half specific topic. Being a current serving GCSE Maths teacher, I have a wealth of up to date resources and curriculum/exam knowledge allowing me to focus tuition on exactly what is required to maximise results.
