I have studied piano, vocal performance, and flute since the age of five. During my childhood training, I was highly enthusiastic about participating in various performances and competitions. After completing my piano performance diploma at the age of 17, I was awarded a Vocal Scholarship at the Auckland Best of the West Vocal Competition in the same year. Thereafter, I was invited by the University of Auckland, New Zealand, to pursue a double bachelor’s degree in Music (Honours) and Literature. After graduation, I continued my Master’s degree in Music, majoring in Musicology. After returning to Hong Kong, I completed a Professional Certificate in Music Therapy, followed by a second Master’s degree at Hong Kong Baptist University, majoring in Orchestral Conducting. I have studied with many distinguished teachers, including piano masters Tamas Vermas, Nan Gibson, and Li Mingqiang; vocal instructors Isabel Cunningham, Beatrice Webster, and Dr. Anthony Derek; and flute under Kate Lawson, Principal of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta. In addition to diplomas in piano and vocal performance, I also hold a teaching certificate (CT ABRSM) from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. In recent years, I have been active in promoting public music initiatives, participating in community arts performances for charity, and serving as a juror in major music competitions. Teaching Vocals (Singing) and Piano for more than 9 years, I acquired my knowledge in Vocals and both Western and Eastern Theory from NAPA (National Academy of Performing Arts). During my time at NAPA, I groomed myself, grasped knowledge, and improved my musical skills. Furthermore, I pursued my education at Berklee College of Music in Boston where I graduated in Vocals and Western Music Theory. Additionally, I studied Audio Engineering at SAE in Dubai. With the enthusiasm for music and children's education, I can make it my life-long career. I have been teaching piano for more than 5 years. The majority of my students are aged from four to twelve. I am experienced in teaching toddlers and children. My students have obtained prizes in HK School Music & Speech Festival and distinction in ABRSM Piano Exam. I would design different types of activities and immersed them in the lessons. Some story-telling and little games that involved body movements are some of the most effective teaching methods to grab children’s attention in the lesson. Apart from music teaching, I have been a English Phonics and Mathematics tutor at High Intelligence Education Co., Ltd. for almost three years. I worked at different kindergartens, primary schools, and community centers to teach children English grammar, phonics, and Mathematics in a small-group basis. I have encountered different types of children (e.g. SEN and ADHD) and learned how to cope with different situations during the lesson.

I have long been passionate and thrilled about music. I learned the guitar back in high school and never looked back. I have experience as a worship leader, a choir director, and as an acoustic guitarist and vocalist. I am excited to share all the knowledge and skills I have obtained over the past 10 years.
