I am a 4th-year Chemistry student at UBC (Vancouver) engaged in quantum cryogenic chemistry research. My appreciation and passion for chemistry has grown exponentially over time and I want to spread that knowledge to the bright young minds of the future. I went from almost dropping all my science courses in high school to specializing in Chemistry at university, so I understand the discouraging mindset that plagues many kids.

I used to tutor elementary school children in high school in a range of subjects with a focus on making the content enjoyable and engaging for the students. At university, I have had the opportunity to experience all ends of the chemistry teaching spectrum, so I have learned the markers of a poor teacher and a very effective teacher. I consolidate all of this information to be the most effective teacher I can be. I have also learned that it is crucial to be dynamic as a teacher and listen to students' feedback and adjust the teaching plan accordingly.

My aim is to encourage a deep appreciation for chemistry by applying a strong foundation of theoretical knowledge to the everyday world. I continuously learn how important chemistry is in our everyday lives and how its concepts can be extrapolated to many different areas of life.
