Hello, I'm Lwazi. I am a qualified educator with a bachelor's degree in education. I specialize in English FAL, Social Sciences, and History. I am punctual, reliable, helpful, honest and can be counted upon to finish what I started.

I have one year tutoring experience ( private tutoring grade 10, 11 and 12) and eight months teaching experience acquired in primary school (grade 4, 5, 6, and 7). Hence, in my previous primary school I did teach children who can't read at the beginning of the year and seeing them progress out words and eventually being able to read independently has been a great source of satisfaction.

My tutoring approach is that I start from topics the learners are familiar and comfortable with and move gradually towards more complex areas as their confidence builds. I use questions and examples to check understanding continually. I provide assistance and guidance to learners by promoting learner independence to learning. I do not lecture to learners or ask them to memorize things. Nor do I spoon feed learner.

Helping others feels good as it boost my own happiness, health, self-esteem and sense of well-being. It gives me sense of purpose. it makes me feel more positive about my own circumstances. I employ both learner-centered and teacher centered approaches but that rely on learners’ abilities, nature of the content, number of learners in class, availability of learner teacher support materials and aim of the lesson.
I use a questioning method to check learners’ level of understanding to determine the need of remedial instruction. In questioning, I formulate follow-up questions of the lesson and learners are to answer them. If necessary, I rephrase the question till they get it correct اقرأ أقل
