As an Instructor in Higher Education I have over 14 years of experience and still think of myself as a life-long learner. Also, I am more being cognitive of the skills acquired over the years are those that are transferable to other adult learners. It is important to have student’s mindset to engage in critical thinking, know the importance of excellent communication skills, and how these foundations are needed to achieve personal and professional goals in life.

In addition, I have observed that through lively discussions and sharing of backgrounds allows students to be more student center, increases his or her confidence, and assist them in taking ownership of their learning experience. It is paramount for education to remember that not all students learn alike, so instruction styles of must be flexible for all learners.
