Hi! I'm Alex, and I'm from Cardiff, Wales. I have a Master of Science degree with distinction in Philosophy from the University of Edinburgh. A First Class Bachelor's degree with Honours in Philosophy from Cardiff University (and a 4.0 whilst studying abroad in New York). At A Level study, I received A grades in Biology, Chemistry and Philosophy. Much of my teaching experience has focused on Biology.

As a tutor, I like to encourage students to not only work towards better grades but also develop a fundamental understanding and passion for the subject. In my view, this is a more enduring and rewarding education.

Beyond my studies, I taught first aid in Kenya for 6 weeks to people of all ages and English language abilities, I have worked as a Legal assistant, and worked as a student ambassador at Cardiff University. In my free time, I enjoy playing the guitar, reading, and going to the cinema. اقرأ أقل

As a tutor, I like to encourage students to not only work towards better grades but also develop a fundamental understanding and a passion for the subject. In my view, this is a more enduring and rewarding education.

I adapt to whatever suits you, but I encourage using past exam papers and mark schemes. I try to avoid lecturing and like to interact with students throughout the lesson.
