My goal in teaching is to offer a multicultural perspective that is deliberately linked to the curricula, while also fostering long-term life skills. I immediately establish a sense of comfort and intellectual freedom in my classroom, while maintaining high expectations for students by continuously challenging them with problems that require critical thinking and teamwork. These learning experiences empower them to gather high-quality data from various sources and enable effective communication in different narrative genres. Most importantly, my role is to consistently praise students for their initial steps towards reading and writing proficiency, and then guide them towards a path of self-education that will benefit them throughout their professional lives.
