Hi there, I am a Physics and Maths Tutor. I am currently completing a Masters degree at the University of the Western Cape where I tutor undergraduate students. I have been approached by several students for extra tutorial lessons outside of the scheduled university tutorial sessions, both in groups and individually, and the students I gave extra tutorials to have always come back thanking me for helping them improve their marks. I like to first get an overview of the course material to figure out whether the course is aimed at theoretical concepts or contextualised questions and then test the students understanding so I know what to spend more time on and still cover the entire course material in the allocated time. Also when a student asks me a question I walk them through so that they can recall the essential steps, rather than just giving them the answers directly.
