I'm Rex, your accent modification coach. Thank you for visiting my profile. If you are here, you are concerned that your "accent" may be limiting your personal and professional success; you have come to the right place. We agree that judging people by their “accent” isn’t fair, but unfortunately, it is a reality. We are happy that you recognize this and are eager to work on sounding more like a native speaker of American English.

I understand that communication failures are annoying and frustrating, but the good news is, I know why this keeps happening to you and I know exactly what to do about it.

I am an American educator who has worked as an ESL teacher - and in more recent years as an accent modification coach - with students from all over the world for more than two decades, of all levels and age groups. I love getting to know people from different places in the world and helping them to achieve greater personal and professional success by learning to sound more like a native speaker of American English.

I especially love to see the look of surprise on my students' faces when they finally realize why they are having communication failures and understand that there really is something they can do about it.
