I have experiences in online teaching for many years even before Covid as I have been appointed as adjunct lecturer in local uni. I communicated with students through interaction durin g lesson by annotation on shared screen, through WhatsApp for consultation after lesson.
I am skilled in teaching model drawing, geometry, FRP, calculus, complex analysis, I have developed my own way to explain these challenging topics. I kept myself up to date from the notes that students shared with me, purchasing past year paper, visiting bookstore and MOE website time by time.
I communicated with parents through text messages, phone call, f2f meetings, progress report, detailed reflection notes based on students' test paper. I will request parents to help monitor the students' homework too, if possible. I will share my lesson plan to parents also adapt to parents' plan accordingly.
I do provide extra materials to students in addition to their school resources, including notes, tutorials, past year paper and some self developed assessment sets.
I will cover multiple topics during the lesson and guide the students for examplary questions, and leave similar questions to students as homework.
I have made effort to adapt to various learning such as some prefer to learn with more independence, I will provide the most critical explanation and let students explore himself the rest, and some prefer to hold their hands more closely then I will explain every single chart formula and equations to them.
I do have experience teaching students with ADHD, I have changed my teaching method with more guidance and more encouragement and I will make sure the students to tackle questions with moderate difficulties tailored for particular learning ability.
