While a tutor is still an authority figure in a student-centered teaching environment, I believe that both the tutor and the student play equally active roles in the learning process.

The tutor's main role is to act as a coach and facilitate students in their learning experience. Additionally, they measure student learning through both formal and informal forms of assessment, such as group projects, student portfolios, and class participation.
