My name is Sharon. I am a qualified primary teacher with 18 years of experience in the classroom. I have taught all ages from 3 to 11 years old. I have been a private tutor, both online and in-person, for the past 4 years and I absolutely love having the opportunity to support children in achieving their goals.

It is vital that children develop their confidence as this leads to a love of learning. When children are confident to give things a try, they learn that mistakes actually help us to progress. I like to use the interests of the children I teach to engage them in learning. We will make links to real-life experiences to make it more meaningful. We will review prior learning, fill in any gaps that may be holding them back, and then build on this with new knowledge and skills. I am passionate about supporting children to find different ways to solve problems and to face challenges with determination.
