أسئلة لك

Q: What areas of physics do you specialize in, and what level of physics do you usually teach?

I am currently pursuing my PhD in Chemical Engineering. I am working as a computational catalysis-researcher and developing catalysts for efficient hydrogen transportation. In addition to engineering subjects, I am confident in all Physics, Maths and Chemistry topics. Not only I have a masters in physics but also a ten year teaching experience. So IGCSE, A levels, and IB students of all levels are welcomed.

Q: How do you approach explaining complex physics concepts to students in a way that they can understand?

We begin by understanding the terms that are involved in a concept. Once the term names and their meaning is estabilshed, we move on to the theory. I solve relevant exampels, and show the working to make the concepts more clear. But nothing is completely understood unless solved by yourself. So I start from simple examples and build up the difficulty as the students solves the problems. You'd be working hands-on and I will assit immediately if there is a mistake. After the first explanation lesson, the second lesson is a full-fledged worksheet that has previous year question-paper style questions.

Q: Do you have experience with students who struggle with physics, and how do you support them in their learning?

A lot of students struggle with physics because to them, it appears a chaos of formulae and technical words that seem to have little to do with real life. In reality, however, every aspect of our lives is connected to physics. I am going to make physics fun for you so you won't have to fear it again. Also if we solve a lot of questions, you'd be more familiar and less nervous when looking at exam papers. With practice and correct guidance, everyone can Ace physics.

Q: How do you ensure that your physics lessons are aligned with the student's school curriculum or syllabus?

The syllabus for school term is always clearly laid out. I ensure to cover topics with the same speed, and sometimes faster than the school. Most topics would be covered before they are started in school so you can get a head start.

Q: What is your teaching methodology and how do you structure your physics lessons to meet the needs of individual students?

Practice. Practice. Practice. When it comes to physics, there is no shortcut to success. You can learn a few tricks to arrive at an answer faster but it is only when you've completely understood the concept that you can stand out in the competitive world. Your aim isn't only to do well at school but later in college, university and hopefully one day as a reseacher. Even if your life goal isn't researching and to get a good job, most companies look for students who have not only excelled academically but have a working knowledge of their descipline. I am going to connect the words in books to concepts of the real world. You'd be solving more problems in everyclass, while gaining confidence to face the world beyond school that demands high technical knowledge.

Q: Can you give examples of how you make physics interesting and engaging for students?

Let's meet in the class and work on this. The fun is in working and very little in reading :)
