I typically work with students aged 6 to 16, covering Grades 1 to 10. This range allows me to help younger learners build a strong foundation and guide older students in mastering more advanced topics in science and English.
I start by assessing the student’s current knowledge and identifying areas where they need the most support. From there, I create tailored lesson plans that align with their school curriculum and learning goals. I include a mix of interactive activities, real-world examples, and practice exercises to keep lessons engaging and effective. Each session is designed to build confidence, improve skills, and make learning enjoyable.
I measure progress through regular formative assessments, such as quizzes, short discussions, and practical exercises. I also encourage students to reflect on what they’ve learned during each session. Additionally, I track their performance over time, comparing their initial understanding with their improvements in specific areas. This allows me to adjust lesson plans as needed to ensure continuous growth and help students reach their full potential.
Yes, I provide regular homework and assignments to reinforce what we’ve covered during lessons. These tasks are designed to challenge students and help them practice new concepts independently. After reviewing their work, I provide constructive feedback, highlighting both strengths and areas for improvement. I also encourage students to ask questions and clarify any doubts, making sure they understand their mistakes and how to improve moving forward.
For online lessons, I use Zoom or Google Meet for sessions, with Google Classroom to share materials. I incorporate resources from Khan Academy, DepEd Commons, and interactive tools like Jamboard, Miro, Quizizz, and Kahoot! to make learning engaging and effective.
Yes, I offer additional support outside of lesson times by answering questions via email. I encourage students to reach out if they need clarification on any topic, and I respond promptly to ensure they stay on track with their learning.
