Hi there! My name is Niki and I'm from a small town called Pietermaritzburg, located in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. I am a qualified high school educator, with Geography and English as my main focus areas.

I am a simple "out-of-the-box" teacher, which helps me relate to learners and content in a positive manner. My teaching approaches target diversity, learning barriers, and challenges that may arise in the learning environment.

In addition to my teaching experience, I have a unique interest in astronomy and a hidden talent as a self-taught keyboard player. I hope that I can be a match to help you on your educational journey!

I have 8 years of experience as a lead teacher in a high school, where I have worked with students from various backgrounds and abilities. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Education, specializing in the FET (Further Education and Training) Phase, and I also have my TEFL certification. While Geography has been my primary focus, I have a deep passion for the English language.

My teaching methodology is focused on making content relevant to students' daily lives by using practical examples and current events. I have found that students are more engaged when they can see the connection between classroom content and their lives outside of school.
