Hello! I'm an experienced and qualified international school teacher based in Amsterdam, offering private tutoring in Biology, General Science, Mathematics, and all core Primary subjects. I specialize in helping students from diverse educational backgrounds—including the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), International Primary Curriculum (IPC), and Dutch/international school systems—gain confidence, clarity, and enjoyment in their learning.

With a Master’s degree in Child Development and Education from the University of Amsterdam, and a Dutch-recognized teaching license in Biology, I bring a strong combination of subject expertise and understanding of how children learn best. I've worked with students in both primary and lower secondary levels, and my teaching style reflects a balance of structure, curiosity, and care.

Biology (Lower and Middle Secondary, including IB MYP and IGCSE)

Every learner is different, and I use my background in developmental psychology to adapt my teaching style accordingly. For some students, structured lessons and weekly progress goals work best; for others, a more hands-on, inquiry-based or project-driven approach fosters curiosity and deeper understanding. I work with both approaches—sometimes blending them—depending on what works for your child.

I always aim to create a warm and safe learning environment, where students feel heard, supported, and capable of achieving their goals. Whether it’s learning to tackle IB assessments or rediscovering joy in math and science, I focus not only on academic outcomes but also on building motivation and confidence.

Location & Availability:

Online lessons via Zoom or Google Meet
In-person lessons in Amsterdam at my home (quiet, child-friendly environment)
I can also travel to your home if you’re based in or near Amsterdam
Available on weekends and weekday evenings (please inquire for scheduling)
