I have recently completed a PGCE, which has provided myself with the opportunity to teach groups of various ages and backgrounds, in the field of Business. By working with students of different ability levels, my teaching toolkit has focused on stretching and challenging high achieving students as well as segmenting tasks into smaller, achievable chunks to those who require more time. In addition to teaching a traditional group, one-to-one sessions with students have allowed me to tailor material to the needs of specific students, which will be echoed in these sessions, utilising techniques deemed most appropriate for each student.

With experience in teaching Business and Mathematics at several levels, this has allowed me to develop a variety of methods to improve and enhance learners of all abilities. Based in Manchester, primarily working with adult learners, scaffolding and teaching material in incremental steps have allowed learners, over time, to enhance their learning and go from early days on their respective courses to confident individuals in their subject field.

The teaching techniques involved include a regular reiteration of crucial content, usage of past papers and exam board material, checking of student understanding as well as a learner-based approach to ensure sessions allow learners to progress. اقرأ أقل
