As a married father of two daughters, brother to 10 siblings, uncle to 37 nephews and nieces and cousin to 300 cousins, I am extrovert and able to effectively communicate with people 40 years younger and 40 years older. The first thing a good teacher needs to do is establish confidence in their students which motivates them to learn.

I am a native English-speaking Canadian teacher living and working in Paris and a graduate from the University of Ottawa who possesses a TESOL certificate. I wish to share my 10 years of teaching experience acquired at Colleges and Institutes Canada, at the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics, and for the past two years, as a certified ESL teacher to French students, both young and older, in a private school. I am adept in following established lessons or creating targeted lessons using both phonetics and a communicative learning approach. I would bring to you a cultural awareness thanks to my experience teaching learners one on one and in-class settings in Paris, London and in Kenya.

My qualities include excellent interpersonal communication skills, which include fluency in French and conversational Spanish. I, like most caring and successful teachers, enjoy sharing my passion for learning and my enthusiasm in the classroom. I have taught EFL students, aged 5 to 18 and validated their level by giving and correcting various curriculum-based Cambridge English as a Second language.

My teaching style

I use real-life situations and the Communicative Learning Approach which puts you, the student, first. I teach in accordance with your skills, level, and interests.

I maximize your talk time and provide positive feedback which fuels your thirst for learning.
