My name is Tamara Gibson. I am a Certified Educator with a Specialized Honours in Sociology and a minor in History, as well as a writer and an artist. I am also a homeschooling mother of two boys and a private tutor for over 10 years, specializing in students with learning differences. I am passionate about language and literacy and devote much time and energy to supporting people in developing their competencies, and ideally, optimal self-expression through language. I live in Maynooth, Ontario and tutor mostly online.
Whether building competencies or working on assignments, I specialize in personalized approaches to:

I am LGBTQ+ friendly, familiar with IEP’s and special needs, and work well with all ages, styles, and levels. Through homeschooling and tutoring, I have developed a rich toolbox of resources, approaches and skills in order to adapt to all levels and styles of learning. I am personally a life-long learner and continue to develop my personal skills in response to the needs of my students. I am deeply committed to people's success, as well as their sense of worth and accomplishment. Consequently, I have also developed creativity and flexibility and a keen intuition for what is needed in any given situation. I have an open and honest approach and work diligently towards successful outcomes.
