I am Alex, and I am currently a biochemistry doctoral (PhD) student at the University of Oxford. I have over 10 years of private and small group teaching experience in Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. At Oxford, I am teaching Biochemistry undergraduate students Mathematics & Statistics.

The high school syllabi that I have tutored include:
- GCE A-Level (including IAL)
- International Baccalaureate (IB)
- (I)GCSE
- HKDSE
- Advanced Placement (AP)

I also take on ad hoc university student tutoring for bioscience and chemistry (specifically for biologists). Additionally, I can assist in proofreading lab reports and research reports.

My education background is as follows:
- BSc degree from University College London (UCL) [top of the class]
- MSc degree from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH Zürich)
- DPhil (PhD) degree from the University of Oxford [in progress]

I employ an exam-focused approach that emphasises the key learning points of the syllabus, but I try to avoid heavy memorization if possible. I tend to supplement extra knowledge that aids understanding, particularly for motivated students. I assign ample homework exercises in exam-style.
