Born and raised in Hong Kong as a bicultural Japanese-Chinese and later pursued an art education in New York City, I developed a set of aesthetics and approach to art-making that emerged from the philosophies of all the influences in my journey. From representational, figurative, abstract, to conceptual art, I find the fluidity and transience amongst all forms of art-making most liberating to an artist in a quest for her own voice.

I believe that art should be a space unique to each person creating it. However, creating a structure to explore freely is necessary to facilitate and develop the visual instincts and perception to understand the language of art. I teach life drawing, painting with various mediums, abstract painting, and composition of an image. Currently, I am located in the northeastern side of Hong Kong Island. My lessons emphasize both the intuition of art-making as well as a critical consideration of formal issues pertaining to creating an image. اقرأ أقل
