Since my mother speaks Mandarin at home, my Mandarin proficiency is higher than that of most Hong Kong residents. While studying for my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the University of Melbourne in Australia, I also successfully completed Level 1 (the highest level) of the Pǔtōnghuà Shuǐpíng Cèshì (PSC), which is the Mandarin Proficiency Test. During that time, I also studied Spanish, as it is my dream to travel across South America. I am fluent in English (near-native level with an IELTS score of 8.5/9, including a reading score of 9 and oral, writing, and listening scores of 8.5), Cantonese, Mandarin, and Spanish. Since my return in 2019, I have been working as a tutor, specializing in English, Coding, and Chinese.

We'll analyze various sentence structures to help students become better readers and writers. Between lessons, students are expected to compose a piece of Chinese writing. All students, whether familiar with Cantonese or Mandarin, are welcome. 4. Chinese culture, history, and literature: These lessons will guide students in exploring various aspects of Chinese culture. No prior knowledge of Chinese is required. 5. Classical Chinese (wenyanwen 文言文): With profound knowledge of classical Chinese grammar, I can teach both native and non-native Chinese speakers interested in this ancient language. Due to the specialized nature of classical Chinese and its less common teaching, the price for this course is higher than others (negotiable).
